Turn Your ‘What If’ Around

What if?

Do you spend time worrying about the ‘what ifs’ in your life? What if I don’t get this job? What if I make a fool of myself? What if they laugh at me? What if I don’t fit in? What if I forget? What if I don’t have time for (fill in the blank.) What if…whatever!

All our what ifs are habits accumulated over our lifetime. Our ego, our conscious mind, drives us in directions that waste our time and energy if we aren’t paying attention. In Byron Katie’s, The Work, she helps people look at the roadblock and helps them turn it around. What if I get the job? What if I am outstanding? What if everyone cheers? What if I am the star? What if I do it perfectly? What if time is no object?

It may sound too simple but the truth is you always have a choice about what ifs and how you think affects how you feel about them. Send your subconscious mind messages simply by thinking a different thought, over and over and eventually it becomes a new habit. When we connect to higher vibration thoughts and emotions you move into potential and possibilities instead of feeling stuck and stressed and bogged down.

Henry Ford said, “If you believe you can or you believe you can’t, you are right.” So, it’s a choice at least, how you feel about your what ifs.

My challenge for you is to take one small step this week by using Byron Katie’s, The Work to turn your ‘What If’ around. Start small; grow as you go. Try a new recipe. Paint a room in your house a color YOU love. Reach out to someone you miss. Start a new hobby. Pay attention to the ‘what if’ that comes up for you and turn it around! You might like it…Mikey did.
